Happy Travel Tuesday! I hope you all had a cozy Thanksgiving weekend. My boys are still debating who ate the most pie, and I’m officially sliding into holiday-travel mode over here. November always brings that perfect mix of family time, gratitude, and dreaming up new adventures — so today I’m sharing some of my favorite destinations I’ve personally visited and highly recommend for your winter and early-2025 travel planning.

If you’re craving sunshine and warm water while California cools down, Puerto Vallarta is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve visited several times, and it always delivers — calm beaches, colorful old town, delicious food, and easy family-friendly resorts.

🌵 A California Gem: Joshua Tree National Park​
Joshua Tree is one of those magical places that feels otherworldly. We’ve explored its trails, quirky desert towns, giant boulders, and night skies — and it remains one of my top California weekend getaways.
It’s perfect for families who love simple hikes, stargazing, photography, or that peaceful desert energy. Stay in a cozy Airbnb with a hot tub, explore Hidden Valley, and let the kids climb to their hearts’ content.

🇨🇷 A Tropical Adventure: Costa Rica​
Costa Rica is pure magic — waterfalls, rainforests, wildlife, hot springs, and some of the most welcoming people we’ve met on our travels.
We spent time exploring beaches, hanging bridges, lush jungles, and volcano views, and it’s a destination I recommend to every family.
